- InvoiceLens extracts invoice data entirely in your browser — nothing leaves your device.

1. Who we are
InvoiceLens is a Chrome browser extension developed and published by ClickVaultHQ. It is a standalone client-side tool with no user accounts, no backend servers, and no cloud infrastructure required for its core function.

2. What InvoiceLens does with your invoice files
InvoiceLens helps you extract structured data — such as invoice numbers, dates, vendor names, line items, and totals — from invoice files you open in your browser.
All parsing and extraction happens entirely within your browser tab, using client-side JavaScript. No invoice file, image, or extracted data is ever sent to any server — not ours, not anyone else’s.
The extension reads the file you have open, processes it locally, and displays the results on screen. That is the full extent of its data interaction.
3. What data is stored locally
InvoiceLens uses chrome.storage.local to persist a small amount of data on your device:

No invoice data — file contents, amounts, vendor names, line items, or any other financial information — is ever written to persistent storage or transmitted off your device.
4. What InvoiceLens never does
Hard guarantees
- Never uploads invoice files or extracted data to any server
- Never transmits financial amounts, vendor names, or line items
- Never sends analytics, usage data, or telemetry
- Never injects third-party scripts or loads remote code
- Never creates a user account or requires login
- Never accesses your browsing history, passwords, or other tabs
- Never sells, shares, or monetises any user data
- Never uses your invoice data for training or any AI/ML purpose
5. Permissions explained
InvoiceLens requests only the Chrome permissions necessary for its core function:
- activeTab — Allows InvoiceLens to read the contents of the currently active tab when you invoke the extension. This is how it accesses the invoice file you have open. It does not grant background access to any other tab.
- storage — Used to save your extension settings and licence state locally in Chrome.
InvoiceLens does not request host_permissions for all sites. It only operates on the tab you explicitly activate it on.
6. Third parties (ExtensionPay)
InvoiceLens uses ExtensionPay (powered by Stripe) for optional paid licence management. When you purchase or validate a licence, ExtensionPay communicates with Stripe’s infrastructure to process payment.
ExtensionPay receives only the information necessary to manage your subscription — it never receives any invoice file contents, extracted data, or financial information from your invoices.
Apart from ExtensionPay, InvoiceLens has no third-party integrations, SDKs, or analytics libraries. The extension makes zero other outbound network requests during normal operation.
7. GDPR and financial data
Because InvoiceLens processes invoice data entirely on your device and never transmits it, no personal data from your invoices is collected, stored, or processed by ClickVaultHQ under the meaning of the GDPR.
If you are located in the EEA or UK, your rights under the GDPR — including the right to access, rectify, and erase personal data — apply to the limited billing data held by ExtensionPay/Stripe when you make a purchase. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at clickvaulthq@gmail.com.
InvoiceLens does not process financial data on behalf of any third party. Your invoices remain under your sole control at all times.
8. Children’s privacy
InvoiceLens is a productivity tool intended for adults and business professionals. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it immediately.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via the Chrome Web Store listing update notes.
Continued use of InvoiceLens after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
